Hybrids (Rescue)
The youngest golf club category that has become firmly established in the golfers' club equipment is the hybrid. The original approach was to replace long irons such as 2 to 4, which are difficult to handle, and to offer an alternative that would allow a higher ball flight with the same length expectation and increased forgiveness. On the other hand, the aim was to have a golf club at hand in a less good ball position (Semi Rough / Lite Rough), which could still be easily brought to distance and with its heavier, more compact club head defied the resistance of the ground controls. As the name of this club category suggests, design features of wood and iron are combined. The head volume and shaft length are positioned between the two main categories, creating a mix of increased shot control and good length expectation.
